I'm back in the saddle again

Well, it's a different saddle all together but at least I'm back in it.

I haven't touched this website in nearly two years. Unless you count paying for the annual URL renewal, that is. In those two years the world's changed quite a bit. A still-raging pandemic took away my livelihood as a cooking teacher for starters. But a bunch of other stuff happened too. I'm now back to advertising copywriting, my old standby. We have a new president, whom I met a couple of months before the election. Frank and I haven't left the good old USA in more than two years, a record I'm much less than thrilled about. I've learned a bunch of new tricks in the kitchen. I fell in love with Nigella Lawson all over again and I have been studying a bunch of new and different chefs. Of course there's a lot more that's gone on in two years but that's enough for now.

Moving forward, I'm going to start playing with this website again, but for real. I'm not about to commit to any kind of a formal editorial schedule but I will be paying more attention to this space.

I have a host of review copies of new cookbooks heading my way and a handful of them that I actually paid for. These books, as well and the recipes and philosophies behind them, are what are driving me to get back to this site. Strap in!
